Valley View Red Barn Wedding

Wow…Besides finishing our trip in Asia this was the defining moment of our year. My brother finally tied the knot with Becca! They have known each other for almost as long as Jackie and I have been together (ten years). Even though I have no recollection of their first date it was with me and Jackie and Jackie’s friend Beka (another Beka). So there it is…Jackie and I were with them on their first date, we were with them when they got engaged at the drive in, and we were lucky enough to shoot the wedding and be part of it!

It was bittersweet for our family because we lost my Grandpa Wolf a few weeks before the wedding. Brad was especially close to my Grandfather. Brad will continue the family traditions in Valley View at the family house on Tinkers. Brad and Becca were able to purchase the house from my Grandma and Grandpa shortly before he passed and are now living there with my Grandma. I think my Grandpa would be very proud of Brad and Becca. I am very excited we will be keeping the house in the family because it is a very special place for all of us!

Despite the freakish weather (rain, heat, humidity…) Brad and Becca were able to have the wedding outside just as they planned. Pretty much everything was centered around life in the valley… the rehearsal dinner was at Tinkie’s Tavern, photos at my Grandparents house, hayrides, ceremony at the Valley View Church, and the reception at the big red barn on the corner.

We were especially lucky to be able to use the barn for the wedding. A big thanks to Dave Wingenfeld for letting us use the barn! Everyone did an amazing job with the decorations! We shoot quite a few barn weddings and are pretty tough judges of weddings (obviously) but Becca did it right!

A big thanks to Jackie who did an amazing job helping me out during the day, being in the wedding, helping Becca, helping my mom, helping Jon, helping everyone basically!

Last but not least a big thanks to Jon Mold who came all the way from England to help Jackie and me out with the shooting duties! His photos are mixed in below and are pretty amazing!
