Aspen, Colorado Art Museum Wedding

Meredith and Kevin met on a lift ride while skiing at Vail, which pretty much makes them our ideal couple from the start! Last winter we got to shoot some snowy photos with them and their crazy pup, Huck, so we were excited to do get to shoot some of the beautiful Colorado colors for their fall wedding in Aspen. The aspen trees turned extra early this year, and we were lucky to see them in full fall regalia just for Kevin and Meredith.

We kicked off the weekend with a fun, laid back rehearsal dinner at the Wild Fig in downtown Aspen. Family and friends from all over the country got to hang out and enjoy some excellent food while they listened to the couple’s friends and family members give some sweet toasts, and a couple roasts as well!

The wedding day began with a relaxed morning getting ready at the historic Jerome Hotel. From there we headed out to do a first look with Meredith and Kevin. Aspen and the surrounding area is so beautiful you can really take photos anywhere, so we loaded the bridal party in a sprinter and drove down the road until we found a spot with perfect views of the fall colors and mountains. Meredith and Kevin made our jobs extremely easy- they’re a stunning couple- and their bridal party was remarkably attractive as well!

The Aspen Art Museum provided a sleek, modern background that reflected Meredith and Kevin’s mountain chic style beautifully. They had a touching ceremony on the terrace overlooking the ski hills, then the party really got started. The reception featured speeches that had everyone in stitches, some amazing dance moves, and a grand exit to be remembered where Kevin and Meredith almost made a clean get away, but ended up hopelessly tangled in streamers instead. It was an amazing weekend of fun and family and Meredith and Kevin proved they really know how to throw a party!
