Michelle and Yessi

Breckenridge, Colorado Engagement Session

February 25, 2020

We met Michelle and Yessi in early 2018 when they drove through the most epic snowstorm of the season to see Breckenridge and make plans to get married here. Yessi and Michelle are from Miami and it was Michelle’s first ever snowstorm! They got their second snowstorm this February when they headed back up to the mountains for their wedding.

Since Michelle and Yessi came in a couple days before the wedding we were able to sneak in a quick engagement session before the weekend. With single digit temperatures and another massive storm cell rolling in we weren’t sure the Miami girls were going to enjoy playing outside much, but they surprised us and were complete troopers!

We started the afternoon with a hike around Sapphire Point. The snow socked in our view of the Ten Mile Range, but provided the perfect winter wonderland backdrop for photos. They even braved the temperatures for a few photos without coats!

After our hike we definitely needed to warm up a bit, so we headed to the Breckenridge Distillery for some drinks at the World’s Highest Distillery. Then we strolled around Main Street Breckenridge, got some of the world’s best crepes, and hung out by the fire.

Michelle and Yessi’s wedding weekend certainly wasn’t a typical Miami beach wedding, but they may end up being mountain people with as much as they’ve embraced the snow!
