If Michelle and Yessi could find way to monetize the snow storms they bring to the mountains they would be rich! Every time we’ve seen Yessi and Michelle it has been snowing buckets, and their wedding day was no exception. We spent the morning contemplating skiing to the Lodge because all the roads in Breckenridge were closed! Luckily we made it to the Lodge and the roads opened up in time for all the guests as well.
Michelle and Yessi each got ready with their families so they could share a first look on the deck of the Lodge before their guests arrived. One of the best parts of a snowy wedding day, besides the snow being beautiful, is it makes perfect light for portraits.
Yessi and Michelle selected one of their close friends and an instructor from the police academy they attended to perform their wedding ceremony. Guests huddled under umbrellas as they braved a true Colorado blizzard to witness Yessi and Michelle exchange vows. It was one of the snowiest ceremonies we’ve ever photographed, but that didn’t damper the guests or couple’s joy and excitement!
At the reception Michelle and Yessi’s guests brought their Miami Beach best- the party was wild! The girls even changed out of their wedding dresses so they could party…properly! Yessi and Michelle said they didn’t want a typical beach wedding in Florida, and they got about as opposite as possible with a snowy Rocky Mountain wedding! We were thrilled to get to be a part of the wedding and celebrate with them!
