Nikki and Matt…wow this was a cool one! Their Breckenridge, Colorado elopement was a bit different even by our standards. They privately exchanged vows and married themselves the day before we did these photos so when we went out it was all photos all the time!
The weather the day of the session was crazy. Massive blizzard all morning with high winds but Nikki and Matt wanted to go for it and we are all so glad we did. We had all the weather. Snow, blowing snow, blowing with no snow, bitter cold, blinding sun…and a freaking amazing sunset!
We started out in the woods where the heavy snow added to the magic and then headed to the waterfalls by Montgomery Reservoir to switch it up a bit. On a whim I suggested we take a one of the mining roads way up Hoosier Pass to try to get some sunset shots and even though Nikki was basically frozen she agreed. It paid off with some amazing views and a breathtaking sunset!
